My son is a fan from the Dutch Premier Division soccerclub Vitesse. And since he got new living quarters i decided to make him something fort he house. I ordered some cheap (70 eurocent) clock modules in China.
And designed the clock face in the clubs colors yellow, black and white.
The bottom 1,5mm are yellow then from 1,5mm to 2,5mm are black and above that its white. So you will have to tell your g-code that you want to change colors there. This is either possible by entering g-code but i do not have experience with that so i used Prusacontrol. (since i have a Prusa the software allready is on my computer)
Because of the size of the clock face, which has a diameter of 200mm i had to print the first layer with a speed of 55% in order to get a nice first layer. It was not perfect but enough because the following layers will mask small imperfections.
After the print was done i assembled the clock, i made a small movie about that that you can view here. When i was satisfied i glued the clock module tot he back of the clock face and made sure all was fixed and working ok.
Last i made some spacers to glue on the back of the clock face so the clock could be attached to a wall, STL’s are with the files. The one with the hole (meant to attach tot he screw) went on the back of the face at 12 o’clock. The other two are attached around 4 o’clock and 8 o’clock.
The result is simple but rather nice and it is personalized.
