The “Flower Market” was one of the most prosperous markets during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Located in the central old town, the Flower Market street has reserved many artworks left by local people from the ancient times.
Living by this street gives me an opportunity to “talk to” these artworks and understand more about the old times. The Flower Relief is one of the most distinct artworks on this
street. It shows the sophisticated work for the national flower peony, which sympolises a prosperous and vibrant life people lived.
