Here's a fossil whale .stl we sourced from the Smithsonian X 3D models catalog:http://3d.si.edu/browser
It was optimized for desktop 3d printing through quadric edge decimation in order to drastically reduce mesh face count and file size. Printed for a presentation on 3d printing and STEM education.
No copyright infringement intended. All source files belong to The Smithsonian Institution.
Printing Details
Print at 0.25 mm layer height, with 10% infill. This uses 37 g of filament and takes 188 minutes.
