I figured I'd design a hermera (with Volcano hotend) mount for the railcore. All of the parts with inserts are designed to be used with M3 inserts with a 5.15mm OD (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B077CJV3Z9). If you want to modify this design let me know and I'll upload the solidworks/stp files.
I included a picture of roughly how it should be sliced, but a petg or pc carbon fiber filament is recommended as filament (in the screenshot pla is chosen just for a test fit).
Before you start
• Clean all prints, this is a tight-fitting assembly and you may need to file/sand to ensure proper fitment.
• I recommend that you install the volcano into the hemera before starting along with the heater and thermistor cartridges. (you should also double check your gears aren’t defective, find e3d’s youtube video for instructions)
Tools required:
• Ball-end 2mm allen (or 2.5mm if you’re using socket cap head instead of button head)
• Soldering iron for inserting threaded heat inserts.
May be necessary tools/supplies:
• Super glue
• File/sandpaper
