I have designed this table for the WASP printable furniture competition.
This table is designed to appear modern and stylish and could be used in various situations depending on its scale. In addition, the deisgn has been carefully crafted such the the table can be printed on its side without the need for support material.
I decided to use hexagons within the design as, not only will they improve the aesthetics of the table, but they will also increase the strength of the object in the most material and time-efficient way. In addition to this, they can be used to store smaller items such as rolled up newspapers or magazines. This gives the table some multifunctionaility, whilst also delivering on a modern and aesthetically pleasing design.
The print would look good in almost any colour, however I feel a brownish plastic - almomst wood colour - would look best.
