The concept for this ring was inspired by the mountains where my father grew up. I made the surface of the ring reminiscent of the topographical undulations of the landscape whilst the low poly style is a visual reference to the crystal and geological formations that may lurk beneath the surface of the earth.
I am also taking bookings as an international hand model ;)
I printed this in PLA on my printers high setting on solid fill. It was printed in halves and then I used a poly cement to glue them together. I had the bottom as one part and undulating top as another. I spray painted in matt black to make it look more like a mineral. I think it would loads better in resin with a SLA machine.
