This spool holder has been specially created from scratch for the 3D Printing Nerd design challenge.
It is supposed to hold a single roll of filament from their shelf strips (about 18x37 mm).
The design consists in two pieces, printable without the need of supports at all. The first piece hangs from the wood strip while the second one holds the spool in place.
To lock it in place just insert the hand sideways and turn 90º clockwise.
Additionally, the holder features some extrusions in order to allow an easier rolling movement reducing its friction against the plastic.
Printed at about 30% infill should strength the piece enough to hold a full roll. Just in case, specific points of breakage have been reinforced to add extra strenght.
