About Katjes Magic Candy Factory

Katjes Magic Candy Factory are the world’s first 3D printer for candy. They create complete customisation as consumers can print their face, a 3D shape, message or logo in one of eight delicious Vegan flavours.

All the ingredients are made from real fruit and vegetable extracts, are allergen free and are Kosher and Halal friendly.

The 3D printers are also the fastest in the development segment as each print takes less than just 5 minutes.

The ground-breaking hardware and software have made 3D printing accessible to the public for the first time ever, and the response has been extraordinary.

In less than 12 months, KMCF have launched across Europe, the Middle East and the USA and have won several prestigious awards.

Candy design tips and constraints

Remember - Gummy candy requires a different set of parameters to filament.

Tip 1: Small details will be lost - OVER EXAGGERATE DETAILS by extruding deeper and spacing further apart.
Tip 2: Gummy candy has no support - Your designs must be support free.
Tip 3: Minimise overhangs - Gummy candy drys a lot slower than PLA / ABS and so will not support overhang angles as well (if at all).
Tip 4: Use the pyramid rule - keep your design wider than it is tall with all angles going in towards the center.
Tip 5: Keep it simple - the resolution for the Candy Printers is very low (1.2mm) so fine details will be lost.
Tip 5: Don’t forget to download our Katjes Magic Candy Factory designer resources and guidelines to maximise your chance of winning!
