Mosul Museum

The Mosul Museum is the second largest museum in Iraq. It has been badly looted during the 2003 Iraq War and 2014 occupation of the ISIL. On the 26th February 2105, the group released a video showing the destruction of the artifacts in the museum. Teaming with Project Mosul, Scan the World have helped in creating 3D-Printable virtual models of the destroyed objects. The aim is to preserve our shared memory and connections to our cultural heritage, regardless of the acts of destruction currently being perpetrated upon it.
