Design Brief
As winter draws in and the nights grow longer, we're teaming up with Autodesk Tinkercad along with BCN3D for a design competition with a spooky theme!
Tinkercad is an easy to use, browser-based 3D design and modelling tool for everyone. Tinkercad is also your perfect 3D printing companion – it allows you to imagine anything, and then design it in minutes!
In this competition, we want to get you tinkering with one simple question - Trick or Treat?
Tricks - For the naughty ones, we invite you to try your hand at some technical trickery and create a design inside Tinkercad that incorporates an electronic element. This could be a trap or a surprise, an animated character or a light up creepy prop.
Treats - For those on the sweeter side, you’re invited to design accessories that add to the fun. Unnerving decor, candy dispensers, pumpkin accessories, games and more… What makes your October 31st a bit magic?
You can enter into both competitions, as many times as you want. One prize will be awarded to the winner of each theme, and a grand prize winner will take away the awesome BCN3D Sigma R17.
When entering this competition please make sure you use the share to MyMiniFactory feature within Tinkercad - that way you will automatically take part.
Once your model has been uploaded to MyMiniFactory, remember to share it to Twitter to the hashtag #TrickOrTreat3D @MyMiniFactory @tinkercad @bcn3dtech.
A panel of judges from MyMiniFactory and Tinkercad will decide on their favourite designs based your creativity, printability, and witchcraft!
