The AquaTech 5-15 Filter in my Betta's tank was way too powerful, and created a crazy whirl-pool effect in the tank. I designed this piece to create a gentler, quieter flow of water from the filter. The area behind the waterfall is still enough for my fish to establish a bubble-nest.
To install it, place the lip of the diffuser, behind the spout of the filter, the clips should bend slighty and make a firm click as they lock onto the filter housing.
There is an STL of all three assembled parts, this is just for refrence. The object is designed to be printed in 3 parts.
Print the diffuser with a really fine layer-height to avoid a stair-step effect on the top. I printed mine with .8mm perimiters and about a 10% infill.
Two of the clips need to be printed, and they can be printed on their side without support. The clips should slide right into the diffuser, the friction fit should be very tight. I lightly sanded the groove on the diffuser to make inserting the clips easier.
