Designed for my favorite Doctor Who fans, here is a 3D printed hand gun for an Auton costume.

Part List
Print- Fingers, Palm, Rod, Barrel, Small Barrel
Procure
- Hinge pin (~16mm x 1.9mm rod – wire coat hanger)
- 2 x 1/4” x 7/8” ceramic block magnets from hardware store
Fabrication Suggestions
Fingers and Palm -print vertically for aesthetic or palm down for extra hinge strength
60%+ infill so the fingers have enough weight to fall open easily
Post Process / Assembly
The hinge fits together with a clipped wire coat hanger (16mm long) as the pin.
Insert magnets.
Paint the barrels to your liking.
Check the fit of rod/barrel connections.
Insert the rod into the hand, then glue the barrel onto the rod through the hand.
Glue on Small Barrel.
