Description
This statue shows a "baigneuse" (translated from French means bather), a woman carefully dipping her toe in the water. It was created by Étienne Maurice Falconet (1716–1791), who was a French baroque, rococo and neoclassical sculptor, best-known for his equestrian statue of Peter the Great in St. Petersburg, Russia.
