This is a beautiful scan of a Bronze Age spearhead found at Arreton Down on the Isle of Wight.

I printed it on edge with lots of support to maximize the detail on both sides of the model. The finish is ModernMasters bronze and copper paints with SculptNouveau patina.
Micropasts' crowd source program allows anyone to participate in archeology by helping out with their scanning and documentation process. The work is more Mechanical Turk than Indiana Jones, but it is a opportunity to help out a good cause, with no poisonous snakes.
