I have always been fascinated with colorfulness of the Day of the Dead Celebration. It amazes me how despite its name, it is really a celebration of life that captures the vivid colors that surround us every day.
This challenge by XYZprinting inspired me to connect with this tradition that captures the many incredible objects that are becoming possible to create with their Color 3D printers. I wanted to create something that could be truly printed and liked by any person with this printer.
I decided to create my own colorful character; His name is Lencho.
The idea behind creating your “calaverita” is that you can decorate with colorful shapes and signs a skull to turn it from a symbol of dead to a vivid symbol of life that captures happiness and good memories.
I had always thought about what would I print if colorful prints were possible. I have tried painting by hand and coloring by layers, but the results never were exactly what I imagined. XYZ printing is paving the way and inspiring people of all ages reach new levels within 3D printing.

The file has been tested and is ready to print.
I would recommend scaling it down (it does not loses any attributes) and rotating it with the face facing up (to have less supports).
UPDATE: Please scale up as it seems to be uploading very small.
