Description
This is a fragment of a sarcophagus front of the so called 'stars and crowns' type. Four apostles with a scroll in their left hand, a star behind their head and a crown handed above by God's hand, while they are raising their right hand to acclaim in the direction of the lacking central element (the 'Anástasis'). Unknown provenance, later in the Vatican storage areas.
