Description
This sculpture depicts the Greek goddess, Demeter. Her body represented in a little exaggerated abstract form and transforms in the ears of wheat at the top part of the sculpture. Author, Argentian sculptor found his inspiration in the connection between Greek mythology and mythology of Andia.
He said about the concept of his sculpture: "For the Greek goddess Demeter deity is fertile earth goddess of wheat, as is the Pacha Mama, mother earth for culture Andia. The work is a figurative representation where the female torso symbolizing earth as it is she who provides food. Symbolically the ears of wheat emerge from your body"
