This over-life-size head of a mature Hercules with a full beard was made for insertion into a separate body. The statue was probably a Roman adaption of a fourth-century B.C. bronze representation of the weary hero. The head originates from the 1st-early 2nd cenutry A.D.
This object is part of "Scan The World".
