Individualized Soda Can Lamp with LED or Candle

I thought long and hard about the task to upcycle the 250ml soda can. Unfortunately, once they are opened, they are not stable anymore, especially when you decide to cut them open with a knife. So i decided to keep the brim and only get rid of the lid by grinding down the connection.
I am obsessed with 3D printed lamps, they can give you the nicest effects a normal lamp could never give you. So, I tried to combine 3D printed parts and the aluminum cans.
To get holes into the can, I quickly discovered, that it is necessary to have a grid or template. After experimenting with different piercing methods, I found that a medical needle works best. By printing the design on a piece of paper an taping it to the can, it can be easily transfered. I created a template sleeve for 3d printing and the first prototype was born.
For illumination a simple candle with an optional foot does the trick, but I quickly changed to LEDs. For a minimum of electrical work, I decided to use 12V LED strips, I already used in numerous projects.
I really enjoyed working on this project and hope other people will like it as well. :)
The template sleeve and candle foot do not need any special attention. I printed out of PLA at 0.2mm layer height, 20% infill.
The foot for the LED needs some supports. Supports also at 20% desity and keep an offset of 0.6 from the part walls, one layer thickness horizontal gap.
