This is a costume bracer for a fantasy outfit -- you may recognize it from a famous Hylian hero, and find that it looks particularly great with a green tunic and cap. Happy adventuring!
I lightly sanded and spray-painted it brown for a leather-like appearance. I also used diluted black paint for a distressed/worn look.
To wear it, I attached faux leather straps to the back side with superglue.
I was able to print this standing upright on the flat "back" edge. Use a generous brim and make sure you have good bed adhesion, or it may start to shake loose from the movement of the y-axis as it gets taller. No support material is required in this orientation though.
Sanded with 80 grit, 120, and 240. Spray painted dark brown.
Distressed with watered-down black paint.
Straps attached to back with superglue.
