Description
I created this puzzle for the "make anything" design challenge andwas inpired by Devin's topographic puzzle video. It is a combination of puzzles and lithophanes, which I have been experimenting with lately. I started by "cutting" a simple lithophane into numerous pieces with a cookie cutter like shape in Fusion 360. Then, I 3D printed these objects vertically to maximize detail. Lastly, I built a light box from wood and LED strips so the puzzle didn't have to be pointing at the sun. I think it turned out pretty great, and as easy as it may look it is actually quite hard.
