In her early life, Merisoa was a powerful shaman. It is known that, to harness the power of the elements, one must always give back equally. She however, never did. The elements have had enough of her insolence and punished her by. She was changed into a horrific being half human, and golf gnoll, but wholly neither. Neither species wanted to associate with her. During the years of wandering the Freelands hopelessly, she atoned for her misdeeds and vowed to never disregard the elements again.
She came across the Ashfang and the group of marauders took her in. Mezg saw her raw power and understood that with her by his side, the Ashfang clan would be unrivaled.
