I wanted to do a medieval torture version of MouseTrap to give it a more mature spin on it. First, I had to design all of the normal pieces from the ground up in order to have all of the hole and peg locations where they need to be. Because of this, I have every single normal piece as a part of this so that anyone not wanting the mature theme can have access to spare pieces. Second, I picked out the main pieces I thought would be most fun in turning into medieval torture devices. The cage falling was a natural first choice for me. In my version, the mice or rats have already been captured so rather than capture them a second time I chose to give them a nasty ending :) Then came the Iron Maiden. There are no baths or cleaning allowed in my dungeon! So, the bath tub had to go. Lastly, the light post and boot were just screaming gallows, and what better way to start the party off than with a spiked shield smacking a giant axe to decapitate your marble's bucket? As icing on the cake I also transformed the mice into crude rats so that you would not feel so bad about torturing nasty rats that most likely deserve it ;)
I split most of the things I printed to avoid the use of supports. However, I printed the iron maiden in one piece in order to keep the spikes looking nice and spikey :)
