Got a request from a friend about a gopro camera mount for the front fork.
Designed one for road bikes (more aero profile of the fork) and one for MTB forks (circular shape). The gopro_mount.stl fits the both mounts.
The GoPro mount is possible to rotate to a preferred angle before tightening the nuts.
The following hardware is used to assemble each mount:
2pcs M4x25mm bolts
2pcs M4x10mm bolts
4pcs M4 bolts
The nuts are pushed down in Part 1, until it aligns with the hole. You could probably use locking bolts for Part 3, just to make sure they don't come loose and you loose your GoPro.
OBS! If you have a carbon fork its actually possible to over tighten this kinds of mounts too much which might even break your fork. The profile of road bike forks differs alot, so you need to get some kind of rubber/anti slip tape or similar to attach on the insides of each mounts.
If your fork has a different profile than mine, you might need to add a thick layer to get a good fit. This will also prevent the mount from slipping and will protect the fork some. Make sure not to over tightening it anyway though!
You'll have to use this mount on your own responsibility. MTB forks are often made of aluminium/steel, so its not as risky on those forks.
