Description
On the southern side of Freiberg Cathedral stands an arched sandstone portal named The Golden Gate. The portal is adorned by sculptures and richly ornamented columns, including this high-relief of the Queen of Sheba.
The work, created with the archway in around 1200-1250, is a fine example of late Romanesque sculpture and architecture.
