After buying a used MPSM used for a $100 i quickly realised why it was so cheap. The Z-Axis bearings exploded and fused to the guide rods.
After complete disassembly it became clear that I could not press out the bearings and that I should model a replacement. This time using PLA spiral bearings to reduce noise and ease of replacement.
I used this hand customizer created by aeropic to get the sizing right. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2537701
Made this to use the existing x axis shield but I opted to just print an endstop bracket instead.
Z-Axis coupler is a bonus as I had an aweful wobble with the stock one. You will need 2xM3 screw and 2xM3 nuts. This is just in the meantime as i wait for a proper lead screw and nema 17 motor to come.
Z-Axis Assembly:
This part will need to be printed it 2 parts then a little sanding and some cheap CA glue will bond them together very nicely.
