This version of the Rugged NUC Wall Mount is designed to deal with issues in the previous version; mainly that over the past four months, the mount has began to deform due to creep. (See Note 1)
Just like in the stress simulations I ran in Fusion 360, the front of the bracket started to droop downward, starting from the bottom rear of the mount. This happened due to heat output from the NUC, along with the weight from the computer itself and all the connection cables attached as well.
To combat this issue, the top of the guide rails have been reinforced with 5mm braces; as well as the depth of the mount was decreased 3mm, allowing for a more snug fit of the inserted computer.
The other change has been to removed two of the rear mount braces. It's been determined they were unneeded, as the other cross braces work sufficiently well.
