Single Coil Dummy
Single Coil Dummy

I often switch around pickups in my guitars; usually the bridge and middle pickup - the middle single coil usually being an afterthought. I don't necessarily want an empty hole in the pickguard though - so I designed this to look like an EMG single coil pickup and fit exactly in the opening of a pickguard. I use it on my Ibanez RGs but the single coil opening is typically the same size on other guitars so I would assume it would fit in anything.
I used a drill/tap to size the screw holes to be whatever size I needed for the screws I had on hand. It only takes a second to tap them to the right size; the hole is already there (smaller than a screw, so you can use whatever size tap you need).
These also work great in direct mount pickup guitars.
I used PLA, but you can use any material or color you see fit.
No supports necessary.
Infill doesn't matter that much.
On mine, I did custom infill settings on the tabs where the screw holes are only and made those 100% infill just so I could drill/tap/screw them. I'd recommend the same.
The rest of the object can be printed with as little infill as you see fit - I chose 10% but ultimately, it's a cosmetic piece, so set it to be as minimal as you wish.
