Description
The statue-menhirs are carved standing stones created during the later European Neolithic. They are amongst the first forms of figurative art. A female figure like this one may be recognized by its breasts and/or a large necklace. A male figure will be represented with a weapon.
These standing stones are found in Western and Southern France and Italy.
