Tindaro Screpolato is a colossal bronze statue by sculptor Igor Mitoraj. The sculpture is on permanent display in the Boboli Gardens in Florence, Italy. The German-born Polish artist's towering structure features the cracked and disembodied face of a man set against the lush, green landscape of the garden. The crumbling face juxtaposed with the many classic Italian and Greek figurative sculptures gives the piece a spectacular energy.
