My name is Grant Miller and I live and work in the SF Bay Area. I am a digital and traditional artist and am currently available for hire on a regular or freelance basis for 3D model and printing consulting and product development. Over the past few years I have had hundreds of my 3D sculpts printed ranging from fine art to high-tolerance Lego compatible components, articulating captured joints, multi-material prints, and moldable master proofs. My philosophies and practices in modeling for additive manufacturing is to balance detail with structural support and functionality as well as moldability when required. Always keeping in mind what additive process will be used along with material choices available, as these will affect how much post processing work will need to be done. Most prints have needed post work on them before painting and finishing to make them how I or the client originally imagined them. I love doing the post work because after pushing pixels for hours and hours to create the (seemingly) impossible- you get to hold this magically created object in your hands and manipulate it into it’s final “fully rendered” state!
