This is a fully functional 3D printed telescope. The only parts not printed are: the main lens, the eyepieces and a few screws and nuts to assemble the various components. This telescope was designed for lunar and planetary observation.

A 93 mm achromatic lens was chosen,  which offers a good yield for the cost.This lens have focus at 80 cm, so all piece that compose the telescope are necessary.

The entire telescope can be reproduced with about $ 10 of filament, $ 38 of primary lens and a few dollars for the screws. Down here you will find the purchase instructions.

Telescope is composed by 10 different pieces:

In add to simple telescope there is 4 usefull accessory:

- Dovetail Bar - to add at telescope and used to fix it in much telescope mount

- Adapter 2" to 1,25". Use ones you have

- Screw handler - used with Flat Hex Head Screws to let you use screw just by hand. Usefull for adapter or eyepiece holding.

- Telescope plug - to dont let lens contact with dust.

Depending on your printer precision at this point you could have pieces that not fit (or not easy fit each other). In this case prepare to sand with sandpaper, or put a thickness (like insulating tape). If your print suffer of elephant foot you should cut this away.

To complete this telescope you will need:

5) Eyepieces: This telescope need oculars just like all other. If you already have a telescope you can use your. If your first one you can have 3 eyepiece for 35x, 80x and 200x. https://amzn.to/2IF35nZ

Installing

Once all the components are printed you have to assemble the tube. As interchangeable, the components have anti-parasitic diaphragms and therefore must be installed in a specific order. It starts from the focuser, tube n.1, tube n 2, and finally tube n. 3 lens holder.

The holes for the screws must match, and it is possible to fix the M4 x 10 screws inside with the nuts even if the holes are made on purpose to hold the screws.

Now mount the 2 rods inside the gear. The two rods have a square part as long as the gear that goes inside, the knobs are installed on the squaring at the other end.

This part must be inserted in the cover and the same must be fixed by inserting the data in the appropriate slots and with M4 x 40 screws.

Now we go to insert the main lens. As a matter of safety, the lens strains to enter, to remain firmly in place afterwards. From the tip of the telescope (tube 3) push the lens into contact with the step. The concave part must be kept outside.

Now for greater security, insert the lens block and fix it with 4 M4 x 10 screws. Insert the traveler and take it to zero by moving the knobs and the telescope is ready!

All you need to do is insert the nuts in the spaces provided (traveler, focuser and reducer from 2 "to 1.25") and the tightening screws with the wheel for manual adjustments and the telescope will be fully operational! Last thing you have to do is to fix the dovetail bar with cable ties.
