Creature bust design that I sculpted in Zbrush.
The main inspiration come from Starcarft 2, a Blizzard game that I'm still playing with during my free time!
In terms of design what I decided to use as reference was the shape of the back of a Starcraft creature (baneling) for the head of my concept: essentially a good mix of veins and bulbs.
I have to confess that I had lot of fun during this sculpt because I love to model organic shapes. For this reason I used brushes like Form Soft, Clay, Standard and Dam standard in particular to recreate those smooth lines and the general look of the bust.
I also did a subtract operations on the internal part of the model to reduce a lot the printing time and the material inside the mesh.
To do this I chose to append a cylinder, transform that in a cone and dynamesh everything again.
The result is that I obtained a Free support model really clean and optimized at the same time.
