My project is to allow the base Prusa i3 to be multi tools with minimum modifications and optimized printables components.
Originally designed for the Prusa i3 P802M/MA... 4mm thick 3D Printers's bed but, can fit on others too !
To be able to restrain a material on the printer bed, we need a fixation system.
The challenge with Prusa i3 3D printer is that there isn't a lot of space around the moving bed to fit any system.
So, if one wants to use his printer as a CNC plotter, miller, a laser engraver or just to extrude filament on another material and/or with more height on the bed, you will need stable, thight and precise fixation.
BlockOnBed is born !
Optimized to be printable on 3D printers with 20 cm * 20 cm * 20 cm area.
Designed to be just outside the 20 cm * 20 cm * 20 cm so there is no lost of print/work surface.

The fixations are composed with 2 pieces : 1 still and 1 mobile inserted in the guides above the new material lying on the printer bed. Then theses 2 pieces are secured tight with a set of screw and nuts (5mm or/and 3mm).
Because of the thigh space available and so proportionally the small size of BlockOnBed, the best choice one have, is to use the strongest material available and thanks to FIBER FORCE, one can use their new Carbon Fiber Filament.
