It's 2021 (As of this typing) and let's be honest and not beat around the bush; or should I say Kush! (Insert painful cringe response here) This can grind all kinds of herbs: chives, basil, thyme; or just weed... yeah most of y'all grinding the good stuff.
After testing other designs, I found their teeth easily sheared off after around a dozen turns, especially with my dried rosemary. (Yes, I really use these devices just for cooking, sue me.) I noticed other designs had either very fine teeth, or just extremely thin.
With all that info out of the way, this is a grinder designed to handle tougher flora; utilizing coarse teeth with added strength from three internal perimeters of material. A layer height of .2mm also allows for better layer adhesion, resisting structural failure from shear loads. (Many grinders I noticed had instructed printed layer heights from .12mm - .16mm. )
As of testing (Jan. 22, 2021) with various different herbs, all teeth remain attached. Tougher dried herbs wear the teeth down slightly after a few months, but with softer plant matter still retaining fluids, this should last quite a while.
