For “Mid” and “Large” class jet engine starting, the air turbine starter is used to reduce weight than electric starter (motor).
Air starter is driven by pressurized air supplying by APU or ground equipment.
There are “Radial” or “Axial” type of turbine. This is “Axial” type “Cutaway” model for the “Running” model.

The features are as follows;
① Axial Turbine Rotor and Stator
② Two Stages of Planetary reduction gears (Reduction Ratio 10:1)
③ One-way Clutch (Simplified)
④ Output (Quill) shaft
⑤ Non metal bearings (Dummy:printable) are used.
⑥ This can be dis-assembled and assembled.
⑦ Color identification of parts in photo: White=Rotating Parts, Red= Bearing
"Over-speed Switch” and “Oil Pump”having by the actual Starter are eliminated for this model.
B. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 15 pages)
The detail assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping and painting)".
In order to make it rotate smoothly, careful eccentricity and gap adjustment are needed.

“ws” of last 2 digits of file name means “With Support” special designed.
E. Total Net Print Time: Approx. 50 HR
- (Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and No raft and support)
Note: When at actual print, each parameter may be adjusted by your experience.
F. Printing settings
Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Depending on your experience.
My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA.
