Female statue of the "Small Herculaneum Woman" type.
Copy of a statue which was originally created in the workshop of the Athenian sculptor Praxiteles (late 4th c. B.C.), possibly depicting Kore-Persephone. The name of this statuary type comes from one among the many copies of the work found in Herculaneum, South Italy.
Possibly from the sanctuary of Demeter at Derveni (ancient Lete area).
