Descripción
Cylindrical tripod vessels are commonly found as funerary offerings in high status burials at Teotihuacan. They carry a wealth of iconographic detail executed in a variety of techniques: incision, excised designs and painted stucco. The incised sign which is repeated four times around the circumference os this vessel has been interpreted as a 'reptile eye' glyph and is used in the Late Classic as one of the 20 day names in the 260-day Mesoamerican calendar.
