Design Brief

In this new design competition we’ve partnered with Mokacam to design around their awesome 4k action camera.

We are tasking you with designing innovative 3d printable accessories in the form of mounts, cases, stands, anything that takes your imagination.

Don't have a Mokacam to design around? Dont worry! We have created a template file of the camera for you to design around. You can find this in "Designer Resources".

The winner will be decided based on your creativity, printability and general awesomeness.

Top Tips

So you want to win a design competition?
Here are some top tips to help you climb up the leader board

Step 1. Download the Mokacam template file below. Study the product, understand it's features and limitiations.

Step 2. Think about your design, and how it can best add value to the product. Look online for inspiration from Mokacam users and check out our GoPro library here.

Step 3. Refine your design and submit using the button below. Why not print of the Mokacam template so you can photograph your accessory in action.

Step 4. Once your submission is approved, tweet your design @indiegogo, @mokacam4k and @myminifactory with the #designmokacam

  • Read and understand the design brief.
  • Thinkabout how you can best deliver a solution.
  • Use the tips and resources provided
  • Explain the concept behind your design.
  • Presentprint, and photograph your design with care.

Please note - you do not need to 3D print your entry yourself, submission of just the 3D printable model (in STL format) will suffice. We strongly recommend that you 3D print your own entry if you can, as this will allow you to showcase your piece as it was intended and improve your chances.
Designs that are submitted without photos of the final 3D print will be printed by the MyMiniFactory community - subject to printability and at a reduced scale if necessary. If you are unclear on any part of the competition, please email info@myminifactory.com for further support.
