Description
The scope of this projects is to allow kids to understand mathematics and physics involved in looking at real world objects both in 3D and 2D. By allowing them to see what a shape might look like in 3 dimensions, they can better understand how it lays flat and allows you to more easily calculate parameters such as perimeter, surface area and volume of that object. If the average cost of filament is $20/kg and each of the 8 parts used roughly 15g, the resulting total cost of the kit is around $2.40. Compare that to a comperable product for sale online where they are charging $27.34 for the set.
