Or in this case: plastic.
This guy is a huge part of my childhood. I hope I did him justice here, and that you, dear visitor, have a good time printing him (should you choose to do so) and give him a good home on one of your shelves!
Preferably far away from any rocks printed in transparent, green, filament.
Sculpted in ZBrush. Printed on a CR-10S.

Added a new version (superman-without-v-tip.stl) with the "v tip" cut off at the bottom, because it has caused some issues for a few unfortunate printers. I will look into doing a more comprehensive redesign so everyone can print the bust as it was intended to be printed. My apologies for the headaches this has caused!

Printed on a CR-10S at 0.12mm layer height, 190°C, 60 mm/s, 5% (or maybe 7%...) infill, using a 0.4mm nozzle.
The lower "wedge" part needed some custom supports in Simplify3D.

Thanks for giving it a try! Yeah, the lower wedge seemed like something that might be troublesome. I've never used Cura, only Simplify3D and KISSlicer. I printed mine using Simplify3D, and I used custom placed supports (which I believe Cura doesn't have?) to give it enough surface to print properly. I also added a screenshot of my S3D support settings in case that might be of help.

0.12mm layer height 50mm/s I have to cut the wedge to minimize the risk :P
Thank you again for sharing this model with the community, I am happy with the final result. Divided the model into 6 parts to facilitate printing to a size of 480mm in height. It took a week to finish the whole model. Here I share some photos. A next model that I would like to manufacture would be Deadpool's bust, which was fantastic and you thank David for the effort. If you have a model of Venom and you can share it, I and surely many users would be happy to make it for our personal collection. thank you very much!!!

Great model of the man of steel - in copper PLA :-) Had trouble with supports for "V" in Slic3r - they seemed to not hold the forming V and it was lost. Great outcome anyway. 100% size in 3DFillies Copper PLA, and then painted and wiped back with kids acrylic black

Printed the man of steel using ideamaker slicer at 50mm/s. I probably should have gone a bit slower because he came out kind of rough, but after some cleanup, prime, sanding, and paint, he looks pretty good.
Imprimé avec des supports personnalisés, le rendu est top, merci ! Plus qu'à passer un coup de résine et à peindre dès que j'aurais le matériel.
Thank you David this is my print.... Printed on Anet A6 not A8 the system here does not show the A6 as option but presume they the same thing... I scaled it down to a 100mm print and it took about 2 and half hours.. Thank you for the share
