A 3D printable durable and efficient Bidon/Bottle Cage designed to hold a standard size bidon/bottle on a bicycle or tricycle cage mount point using M5-10 or M5-12 screws.
The part can be easily 3D printed, without any support, on a modern inexpensive 3D Printer. It can be printed with a variety of materials, including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and many other types of printable materials.
PETG or ASA work very well for this application. The objects should be durable, easy to maintain, and last for a long time.
Recommended print settings with a .4 mm nozzle
- Layer Hight: .150 ~.160 mm, depending on motors and gearing
- 5 perimeters or shells (~ 2.25 to 2.5 mm)
- 15 bottom layers (~ 2.25 to 2.5 mm)
- 15 top layers (~ 2.25 to 2.5 mm)
- Infill 10%~15%, depending on infill type
Additional items needed for assembly
- 2x M5-10 or M5-12 Socket screws
Assembly Instructions
- Mount the bidon/bottle cage to the cage mount point on your bicycle or tricycle with the M5 screws. It helps to start with the top screw. Tighten the screws enough enough to secure the cage, but not so hard as to deform the printed part. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!
