This marble work, by a disciple/student of Maetro Giovanni served as a capital for a column in the 12th Century. Originating from Pisa, in the Church of Saint Jacopo in Orticaia. The artist can be identified through the accompanying text:
"(....)DI(s)/CIPULUS MAGISTRI IOGANNIS/SCUL(p)SIT HOC(opus)(...)IUNII ANNI/(...)XXI(...)/"
