This is my Circle Puzzle I designed in Fusion 360. It is 12 pieces, and the puzzle itself assembled is 100mm. It also includes a small frame to put and build the puzzle in, which is optional. The puzzle prints in place, and comes apart pretty easily after. You can easily clean up the small stings on the pieces with an Exacto blade. Hope you enjoy!
I printed it on my CR-10 at 60mm/s.
I usually print the bottom part of the puzzle in one color, and then switch the color for the top, so that you can tell what is the top and bottom of the piece. However, I had forgotton to do that with this model, so I just used a paint pen to color the bottom. It looks much better when done with filament. Its also very easy to do. Just start with the color you want for your bottom, and let it print however much you want the bottom color to be, it doesn't matter if its a lot or a little, and when it finishes the last layer, pause and start the next color, and let it finish. That's it! That is also completely optional.
the printing in place has worked great on the several separate models ive printed in this way. The pieces are usually connected by a few strings, all I do is wiggle them back and forth to get them apart. Then after I separate them I use an Exacto blade to trace around the perimeter of the pieces to cut off any extra strings. Then after that, the pieces fit together nicely!
I printed with 5% infill. It really doesn't need any since the pieces are only 5mm wide at the thin parts. Plus it's just a puzzle, so it wont need more so hold a heavy load or anything.
