Description
Etruscan art was both influenced by Greek art and an influence to Roman art. This in-between position enables us to qualify it as an important link in art history between two major artistic styles and era. Therefore, in a sense, it is also complementary to these periods. In this sculpture, the visitor may notice elements that are found both in classical Greek and Roman sculptures, the most obvious being the curly hair and round features.
This sculpture was part of the Rupert Wace Ancient Art Exhibition at the 2017 London Masterpiece Fair.
