Simplify3D Printing Setup

1. Import model
2. On the top menu go to "Mesh > Separate Connected Surfaces" to separate out the sample swatches from the base
3. Add a new process for each swatch
   
   1. Add new process
   2. Click "Select Models" and select only the current swatch
   3. in "Layer" set 0 top layers
   4. in "Infill" set the corresponding infill percentage (5/10/20/40/80)
   5. Repeat for each swatch setting the infill percentage correct for each. An easy way to do this is to just copy the first one you made and just update the infill ratio and select the corresponding new swatch

PrusaSlicer Printing Setup

1. Import model
2. Set the slicer to expert mode
3. From the top bar select "Split to Parts" (it is important to split to parts and not split to objects because the latter will have the slicer force the objects to the bed and I could not figure out how to get it to let me move them off the bed. If you know how let me know in a comment)
4. Adjust the infill settings for each swatch
   1. Right click the gear next to the swatch in the right hand object list
   2. Select "Infill" to add those modifiers
   3. Do the same and select "Layer and parimaters" to add those modifiers
   4. Remove alll but "Fill Density" and "Top" so that you can make sure you do not have anything overriding you do not mean to
   5. Set the fill density to the correct density (5/10/20/40/80)
   6. Set "Top" to 0

The only funky thing here is that it does not completely fill in the base underneath the swatch like you see in the photo (that was done with Simplify3d) because it still considers them the same object. You could set the fill density of the base to 100% to get that but that is about all I can think of to solve that issue without getting it to let the separated objects not be on the bed directly.

If you want to do the color changes like I you add a color change at 1mm for the bottom of the text and one at 2mm for the start of the swatches.
