Nostepinne (for knitting, spinning etc...)

My wife asked me to print her a Nostepinne. My first reaction was a somewhat more colorful version of "a what?" She pointed me to The Woolery and I did some reading and researching. A Nostepinne is basically a stick used to wind a ball of yarn. Ya I can do that. After discovering there were none on any of the 3d sharing sites, I modeled one myself in Fusion360.
This print needs to be somewhat strong. The first one I printed in PLA broke fairly easily so I printed one in my usual overkill fashion in PETG. The print shown in pictures is printed in MHBuild PETG with 6 shells and 6 top and 6 bottoms layers at 40%infill and I used Gyroid pattern for the infill and .2mm layger height. I printed it on avery oversized raft because of the height and narrowness of the object so I used 25mm raft offset.
After printing I then began with 120 grit sandpaper and sanded only the long taper portion and moved up step by step to 1000 grit. She said the finish was perfect so thats where I leave it.
Maybe someone out there will find this useful granted anyone with a woodshop or lathe will probably find that easier I just don't have access to that right now.
