This is one of a pair of sculptures by sculptor Ludovicus Willemssens, the other being 'Prudence'. Both depict the allegories of wealth, personified as young children. With this sculpture, the child holds a bountiful crop of corn and a sort of crown on his head, suggesting a good harvest. Both sculptures feature a signature and a date: 'L.WILLEMSENS.fecit.1700'
