Description
In Konenkov world view peasant pantheism he was fascinated by the tales of the secret life of the forest and its creatures, which he had heard as a child. The tales' impact on the artistic imagination can be seen in his choice of subjects from the slavinic mythology, such as this sculpture of Lada, the goddess of Love.
