Colourful red, blue and yellow pigments are still preserved on surface of this pottery sculpture. These hint at the wealth of polychrome imagery that once adorned the exterior facades of temples. The nose ornament worn by this figure is reminiscent of those found on elaborate Teotihuacan funerary censers many centuries earlier.
